On Saturday, June 13, 2026, we held the first-ever AKAMON Hackathon at the new Akamon Office, located somewhere in Hongo, Bunkyo-ku, Tokyo.
We welcomed over 40 participants, primarily University of Tokyo students, across a total of 15 teams, who will be developing their projects over the course of two days.
This marks the first hackathon hosted by Kaikaikiki under "Nippon Scouting Systems AKAMON," made possible through countless discussions between AKAMON staff and University of Tokyo students participating in the AKAMON Community.
The theme for this hackathon is "AI × Growth" — centered around things that relate to the growth of people and society.
On Day 1, teams energetically tackled everything from the theme announcement to team discussions, development, and interim presentations. Every team brought a serious and distinctive approach, leaving us with great anticipation for the final presentations and experience showcase on Day 2.
To everyone who participated — thank you so much! We'll continue to share reports from Day 2, so please look forward to it. The student organization AKAMON Community is also posting updates on Instagram, so be sure to check it out.
